I've long been a huge fan of shmups and one of my favorite things about them is they always have such incredible soundtracks! I wanted to start experimenting more with more interesting synth sounds and figured these songs would make a great playground. While I did have the Genesis sound in mind while I made this, I didn't specifically emulate those synths, so it might be more appropriate to call it Chipwave than Chiptune?
As for the tuning, it's well temperament, as written by Young. I know it's not my standard just intonation, but my programming skills left me with either the tuning or the sound and I wanted the sound. Maybe one day, I'll get there, but not yet.
